DEER HEAD features: Jennifer Summerfield, of Curio Theatre; Morgan Everitt, 2011 acting apprentice at Williamstown Theater Festival; Caroline Rhoads, Philly Improv Theater member; Langston Darby, 2009–2010 Dorothy Haas acting apprentice, Walnut Street Theater, and star of Much Ado About Nothing, Clark Park; Jeffrey Wu, recently seen in Rabbit Hole (Playcrafters); and wily veteran Chris Ready, returning to theater after five years of film and commercial acting.
SmokeyScout Productions is run by husband/wife team Josh McIlvain and Deborah Crocker. Josh has had more than 100 productions of 65 plays, including 38 NYC productions. They produce work written by Josh with creative staging that emphasizes dynamic performance and artistic collaboration. Past shows: Merry Fucking Christmas (2010), the hilariously disturbing antidote to holiday stress; Boat Hole (2010) one of Philly Weekly's "10 Essentials at the Live Arts Festival and Philly Fringe;" Confessions of a Plate and Shoe (New York, 2008), deemed “A very worthwhile show . . . they were all great!” by Papermag.com.
