Right To Spring is a 60-minute dance piece choreographed by Matthew Neenan with original score composed and arranged by Matthew Pierce - band member of Lake Trout, and set designs by Stephen Earl Weber - a Philadelphia based visual artist who has collaborated with Mr. Neenan on projects for The Pennsylvania Ballet. The choreography embodies the essence of winter giving way to spring. After a long dormancy, the world reawakens and bursts forth with new life. The collaborative work aims to capture that process: the changing of seasons and how we react to it, mentally and spiritually. BalletX will return to the Wilma July 23-27, 2008.
