BalletX, the resident dance company of The Wilma Theater, presents All-Female Choreographers Project, the 2007-2008 season finale.

This extraordinary dance event brings to Philadelphia three world premieres from an international trio of choreographers:
STILL@LIFE by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa (Dutch National Ballet, the Scapino Ballet)
UNION by Helen Pickett (Ballet Frankfurt, Boston Ballet)
NUMB ROADS by Philadelphia's own Christine Cox, the recipient of the PA Council on the Arts 2008 Award for choreography.

The audience is also invited to participate in two discussion Forums on dance issues, both at The Wilma Theater (free and open to the public):
July 23rd, immediately following the opening performance, Q & A session with the project’s choreographers
July 24th at 4:00 PM, panel discussion “Celebrating Female Choreographers in Ballet” with special guests: Roy Kaiser, Artistic Director of Pennsylvania Ballet, and Virginia Johnson (moderator), Editor of Pointe Magazine.

THE BALLETX 2008/09 SEASON:

BalletX will be offering a special season full of innovative choreography from original dance makers like Matthew Neenan and Edwaard Liang; we will also be reviving old favorites that have only been seen once before.
