MATTHEW PRESCOTT, Journey of the Day
An emerging choreographer, Prescott presents a highly energetic contemporary ballet taking the audience on a day’s voyage from dusk to dawn. It is choreographed to lively selections from the Appalachian Journey album by Edgar Meyer, Mark O'Connor and cellist Yo-Yo Ma.

ADAM HOUGLAND, Risk of Flight
Premiered on BalletX in November 2007, during our first resident season at The Wilma Theater, this ballet was hailed by critics as "staggeringly beautiful." Set to acoustic cello music by Zoe Keating, Risk of Flight shows us the way back from despair.

MATTHEW NEENAN, The Last Glass
Inspired by the wild street-parade sound of American indie-rock band Beirut, the dance slowly awakens like a city, part mysterious pageant and part raucous celebration. The ballet's title is related to one of the songs in the piece, Un Dernier Verre (Pour la route), French for "One last glass for the road."
